Ukraine won’t trade land for peace without security guarantees: Ukrainian MP

Top US diplomats are meeting Ukrainian and European officials, to discuss Washington’s controversial plan to end the Ukraine war.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are at the gathering in Geneva.
Ukraine and its European allies have voiced concern at what they see as major concessions to Moscow – including giving up territory and ambitions to join NATO.
The US President has given Kyiv until Thursday to accept the proposal but appears to be keeping his options open.

Al Jazeera’s Hashem Ahelbarra reports from outside the meeting in Geneva that European officials say they can’t force Ukraine into a deal that could be perceived as a surrender.

Ukrainian member of parliament, Lisa Yasko, says pressure from the US to accept the deal has been very hard for Ukrainians, who feel they haven’t been consulted.
