Trump says no decision has been made on whether Washington will send a representative to the upcoming Paris talks involving Ukraine, France, Germany, and the UK. He repeats earlier statements from the White House, saying attendance will depend on whether there is “a good chance” for progress.
Trump also warns that prolonged tensions could escalate into a “third world war”, stressing the need to resolve the conflict and “save a lot of lives.”
On Gaza, Trump provides little clarity when asked about reports that a US general may lead a stabilisation force. He instead asserts that “real peace in the Middle East” exists with the backing of dozens of countries, though he gives no timeline for the Gaza stabilization plan.
