China has announced retaliatory tariffs on US goods, including a 15% levy on chicken, wheat, corn, and cotton, and a 10% increase on soybeans, pork, and seafood. It also restricted 25 US companies and plans to sue the US at the WTO. The move follows Washington’s 10% tariff hike on Chinese imports. Analysts see Beijing’s response as restrained. Meanwhile, China’s Two Sessions summit is discussing economic policies, AI content review, and farmer income. Beijing warns its tariffs will take effect on March 10 unless the US resumes negotiations.
