Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy says Russia has carried out one of the biggest aerial attacks on the capital since the start of the war.
Officials say the hours-long raid, involving hundreds of drones and seven missiles, affected seven of Kyiv’s 10 districts and injured several people.
The city’s mayor says air defence units were activated to fend off the strikes.
Russian drone strikes also targeted the port city of Odesa, hitting a maternity hospital and residential buildings.
