Leaders of the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation economies are meeting in South Korea. The bloc accounts for more than 60 percent of global economic output. But what really happens at these summits beyond the photo opportunities, motorcades and statements? And can the bloc’s mission of free trade survive the rivalry between its two most powerful members, the US and China?
