Syria set for first parliamentary elections since the fall of the Assad regime

Syria is due to hold its first parliamentary elections, since the fall of the Assad regime.
The public will not vote and instead, local committees will select members for two thirds of the seats, with the rest appointed directly by President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
