Modi inaugurates world’s highest rail bridge in Indian-administered Kashmir

India has inaugurated a major infrastructure milestone in Indian-administered Kashmir — a 270-kilometre railway line hailed as one of its most ambitious engineering achievements. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the launch of the project, which features 36 tunnels and over 900 bridges, including the world’s highest railway bridge, towering over the Chenab River. The route is part of efforts to improve connectivity in the contested region.
